Theres so much to do at BAYSIDE CAMP!

Our new facility in Sambro Head features comfortable, equipped cabins, a fantastic lodge overlooking Third Pond, and amazing activity options with up to date equipment for your child to enjoy.

Facilities and equipment are inspected constantly and kept in check with all applicable regulations.

At Bayside Camp we welcome guests from all faiths and walks of life. We aim to create a non-threatening environment where your child can explore questions of faith and discover the story of God’s amazing love for them.

Each day features a Worship at the Cove session with upbeat engaging music and age appropriate teaching. There is also Cabin Connection time where cabin groups can ask questions about what they’ve heard or experienced during the week.

At Bayside Camp, health and safety is a top priority. We want each child to feel safe and secure so that they can fully enjoy their time at camp.

We ask each camper to fill out a detailed medical form, as well as check in personally with our trained First Aid and Nursing staff upon arrival. Prescriptions, medications, allergies, and any other concerns are taken care of so that you can rest easy.

Always one of the most important parts of camp, we provide quality food and plenty of it! Following the Canada Food Guide healthy and delicious home-style meals are prepared daily and usually served cafeteria style.

Vegetarian and gluten free options can be provided, and we seek to meet special needs. While nuts are not used in the kitchen there may be traces of nuts in some food items, and are in some products sold at the Tuck Shop.

We strive to honour cabinmate requests so long as the campers involved are registered for the same camp and their ages are not more than 12 months apart from one another. Please note mutual requests must be made by both campers at least two weeks before camp.

Is Bayside a Christian Camp?

Yes!

Bayside is a non-profit, year-round Christian camp and retreat centre conveniently located minutes just outside Halifax. As a Christian ministry, we believe the Bible offers relevant truth for everyday life and that’s why it has been the source of our teaching for almost 60 years.

We also believe people need to hear this truth from friends in the midst of a caring, safe environment and that’s why we pay close attention when selecting each member of our staff team (from those counseling to cleaning and everyone in between).

Does my child need to attend church to go to Bayside?

No!

Each summer we welcome hundreds of campers from all walks of life to experience the wonder and adventure of a week at camp with us.

At no point will your child be pressured to profess Christian faith; however, we do incorporate biblical principles and age-appropriate teaching into all programming.
