The story so far.
In the years of 2015-2019 we were able to stabilize the operations of Bayside after a rocky start on the new site.
In 2018 and 2019 we met with the Atlantic Baptist Foundation.
With a stabilized operations, the ABF desired to partner with us and deal with the outstanding mortgage.
In 2019 the ABF proposed a 1:1 matching pledge to run for 5 years, and an interest free window of 10 years. This represents a 1.2 M pledge!
In 2020 our campaign launched with a generous $115,000 donation which became the first gift matched by the ABF’s new agreement.
As Covid hindered initial plans the ABF extended the matching agreement by 1 year.
In 2023 a series of generous donations paid off another $100,000
Slowly but surely through 2024 we paid off another $125,000
In 2025 Bedford Baptist launched a campaign and have raised over $100,000!
Through legacy gifts, generous donors and the ABF matching we have paid off $880,000 since 2020.
In 2025 we received approval from the Association to subdivide and sell a small portion of unused land.
Currently we are in the process of HRM subdivision approval and hope to sell 3-4 lots for debt reduction.
In early 2026 another generous donor stepped forward with a $200,000 matching opportunity!
As the Dec 31st deadline approaches we are so hopeful! Churches and individuals are stepping forward to run their own campaigns,
stretching themselves to see the debt paid off and the vision for Bayside’s future impact.
God is using this property and these programs to write the story of His love in the lives of campers, guests and staff.

Bayside has always been a place for campers and guests to discover the story of God’s love, to reconnect with the meaningful parts of life and to spend time in the great outdoors.

As we hear the legacy of how God is shaping the lives of those involved over the last 65 years, we look to the future and the vision of what God will continue to do through this ministry. We know that God has so much more in store for this ministry, and that He has yet to reveal His best plans for those who will encounter Him through this place.
